Roof Replacement & Chimney Flashing Project in Des Plaines, Illinois

Learn more about our recent Roofing & Flashing installation that took place in Des Plaines.

One of the many things we pride ourselves with at Dickson Contractors, is that most of our business is from referrals. That was this case with this particular project. One of our longstanding customers referred us when they noticed that this homeowner's roof was damaged by recent storm activity and heavy winds.

Our team was able to provide a comprehensive roof inspection and determined that a roof replacement was the best course of action. We also worked with the homeowners on how we could provide them with better roof ventilation and help prevent future water damage concerns with new PacClad Chimney flashing.

Once the scope of work was approved our skilled team got right to work. We installed a new GAF Timberline UHDZ #4 impact shingle in the color Barkwood. This premium laminate shingle not only creates dramatic sunset shadows all day long, it also provides high-performance technology at its core and achieves the UL 2218 Class 4 impact-resistance rating. This new roof will provide superior protection and comes with a 30 year stainguard limited warranty.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. amazing workers who stayed late and busted their ass until the job was done.

3 days and the whole roof was replaced. they even moved one of my stick shift cars out of the way because my mom was too old to get in/out of it (SHE STILL KNOWS HOW DO DRIVE STICK)

amazing work, 10/10, would recommend.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dickson put on my old roof years ago; it never had problems. So, I hired Dickson again in September 2025, for my new roof. It was an easy decision. Cari Dickson and Mark were easy to do business with. Mark is easy to talk with, and he understands roofs. He can answer your questions without insulting you. Dickson has a nice showroom where you can compare tiles and colors. The crew was a delight. They were hardworking and thorough both on my roof and during clean up afterward. Communication with Dickson was prompt and easy. Dickson gave me the best price; other contractors could not match it. I love my new roof!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. At the end of July, Mark Brodnan came out to give us an estimate on a new roof. Mark was exceptional-knowledgeable, personable and professional. On the first of August the Dickson crew arrived
early AM. They took care not to disturb any of the vegetation or ornamental items that we have on the property and did a wonderful job. By afternoon we had a nice new roof. They were also exceptional at cleanup! Having previous estimates I would say that Dickson was reasonably priced ! I highly recommend this company.
